Papercuts

This is a webpage showing a map of the United States with pins on various locations all over the country. The pins stand for the closing down of a newspaper or the number of layoffs in remaining news companies for the year 2010. The map shows how drastic the development is. Only In the year 2010 there have been more than 1900 reported layoffs among news companies (Papercuts). In reality there has been 21.000 journalists laid off and 120 newspapers closed down(Romero, 2010).
